Quality standards

Urban Challenge is committed to achieving quality standards across its services and currently works towards and achieves the following standards:

Volunteering England LogoVolunteer Centres Quality Accreditation (VCQA)
Urban Challenge operates volunteer centres, accredited to national standards laid down by Volunteering England, covering the West of Lincolnshire. Using the VCQA quality accreditation standard enables the work of volunteer centres to be assessed objectively and consistently by Volunteering England.

Matrix Standard logoMatrix standard for Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG)
Urban Challenge’s volunteering brokerage services were all accredited to the Matrix standard in September 2010. The Matrix standard is the national quality standard for information, advice and/or guidance on learning and work. Having this standard demonstrates that Urban Challenge effectively plans, manages and delivers its volunteering development services.

IiV logoInvesting in Volunteers (IiV)
Investing in Volunteers is the UK quality standard for all organisations which involve volunteers in their work. The standard enables organisations comprehensively to review their volunteer management, and it also publicly demonstrates their commitment to volunteering. The standard is managed by Volunteering England. VCS Lincoln was accredited to IIV in May 2008 and all Urban Challenge sites will be assessed in May 2011.
