Here are some common questions about the event to give you more information:
What are Community Rights?
As part of the Localism Act 2011 there are a range of Community Rights available for organisations to use. One of the most well used is the Community Right to Bid. This right allows an organisation representing a community to nominate a building, facility or piece of land that is used by the community as an asset of community value. Local Authorities maintain a register of assets of community value and additional conditions are set should the owner decide to sell the asset.
You can find out more information online at: www.mycommunityrights.org.uk
