Universal Credit will start to roll out across West Lindsey, North Kesteven and Lincoln from 30.11.15 for a limited claimant group.
In preparation for this the West Lincolnshire local authorities and the Department of Work Pension (DWP) would like to invite you to a Stakeholders Event that will look to inform you, how this will impact on yourselves and the people you support.
Universal Credit will be gradually phased in, replacing 6 existing benefits, Jobseekers Allowance, Employment Support Allowance, Income Support, Working Tax Credit, Housing Benefit, and Child Tax Credits.
The workshop will be held at the Alive Conference Centre, Newland LN1 1XD on 4.11.15 and is expected to last from 1:30pm to 4:00 pm, (up to 2.5 hours)
The workshop will cover the following
- Understanding Universal Credit
- Making a claim to Universal Credit
- Understanding the Claimant Journey
- Support Available to Claimants
- Alternative Payment Arrangements
- Advance Payments
- Implications for Landlords
There will be ample opportunity to ask questions throughout the event, and you will be issued with an information pack on the day.
If you would like to attend this event please contact Hannah Myles-Stanley, Administration Officer West Lindsey District Council on 01427 675157 or firstname.lastname@example.org
