Lincoln Ambassadors needed!

Would you like to be at the heart of the action in what promises to be a really exciting and successful year for Lincoln?

Lincoln BIG (Business Improvement Group) is looking to recruit more people to join its Volunteer Ambassador Scheme, which gives its members the opportunity to meet and greet visitors, help people to find their way around the city and signpost them to its attractions.

2015 marks the 800th anniversary of the sealing of Magna Carta 1215 and, with Lincoln already welcoming exceptionally large numbers of UK and international visitors, now is the ideal time to join our team. The Ambassadors work closely with Visit Lincoln and the events team at Lincoln BIG.

Ambassadors’ spokeswoman Maureen Keddy said: “Currently our ambassadors are out in the city centre on Friday and Saturday mornings.  They also assist at some of the city’s events.

For example, we helped at the1940’s weekend uphill , advising visitors and directing them to all the venues involved. They also greeted and gave directions to visitors who came to the Lincoln  for the Magna Carta weekend and it was brilliant to meet so many people who were here to help us celebrate, they were particularly enthusiastic about the Baron Trail and this enthusiasm hasn’t waned at all, we are still helping people and explaining about the background to the Baron Trail, it’s appealing to children and adults from the City, the country and other places around the globe”.
