Linkage is appealing for volunteers and for donations of items for its new chain of shops.

The charity, which operates services for hundreds of people with learning difficulties across Greater Lincolnshire, is preparing to open a network of charity shops, starting this year, to raise important revenue and provide a shop window for the charity’s own product range including crafts.

Linkage, celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2016, is also keen to boost the number of volunteers to help staff the shops and for support other fundraising activities.

Charity Shop Development Co-ordinator David Spencer says: “It’s an exciting new venture for Linkage across the Greater Lincolnshire region. The shops will also provide an outlet for the brilliant woodcrafts and ceramics produced by our adult clients. We are very keen to attract volunteers to help us with these plans and have plenty of roles to attract people.”

Among the range of volunteer opportunities, Linkage is currently seeking:-

Drivers for transport or collection of donations;  charity shop assistants; event organisers; laundry assistants; and market staff.
