The following message is being circulated on behalf of Lincolnshire Partnership Foundation Trust.
Equality is about everyone, and that includes you.
As a healthcare organisation we have a responsibility to make sure that everyone has fair and equal access to our services.
The Trust has recently reviewed its Equality Strategy and would like your views on whether we are setting the right objectives for this important area of work.
Equality is about improving the access and experiences of service users and carers using our services, and the staff who work for us.
What are the aims of the Equality Strategy?
The Equality Strategy will ensure that equality and diversity issues are incorporated into our everyday business.
The strategy covers all the protected characteristics of gender, disability (including learning disability), race, sexual orientation, age, religion and belief, maternity and paternity rights, transgender and marriage and civil partnerships. The strategy helps us to meet our legal commitments, as well as the need for all staff to comply under equality law. It also covers all areas of equality whether covered by legislation or not.
We are now consulting on the Trust’s Equality Strategy and would like to gain your views on the work we have undertaken so far. Please click on link to view the strategy- http://www.lpft.nhs.uk/news-and-events/news/equality-strategy-2016-2018.-tell-us-what-you-think
By consulting on this document we can reassure our service users, carers and you as staff, that the practices we apply are fair and equal for all.
Tell us what you think…
