Mental Health Group Celebrates 30 Years

Founded in 1985, The Volunteer and Contact Association is Celebrating it’s 30th birthday this year.

The club was originally known as The Contact Club and was created in 1985. the Club  offers Friendship and Support to people with Mental Health difficulties living in the community. Since then it has evolved and grown. We now have 14 individual Friendship Groups spread throughout Lincolnshire with over 220 members.

We offer a wide range of activities:

  • Art and Crafts.
  • Group Social Gatherings.
  • Allotments.
  • Bowling.
  • Holidays.
  • Visits to places of interest.
  • Singing.
  • Go – Kart Racing.

We feel that it is important to offer  positive help, forget about your difficulties in life, forge new friendships and enjoy life with friends that understand.

We are always seeking volunteers to help run our very successful Clubs throughout Lincolnshire and forging new links with other groups.

We are holding a 30th Birthday Celebration which will include various stalls, and stands from other groups to network and forge links with. A finger buffet and a B-B-Q. will be provided and refreshments.  We invite YOU to come along and join in our celebrations on Saturday 19th August from 11am to 4pm

at Croft Street Community Centre, Baggholme Road, Lincoln, LN2 5AX.
