My Rural Life Project – Help Needed to Develop a Toolkit for Older People Living in Remote Lincolnshire

Do you live in a very rural location in Lincolnshire? Have you ever thought about what the effect  of where you live may have on you as you get older? Have you ever thought that you or someone you know could ever reach a point where contact with other people almost ceases?

Sortified are developing a toolkit for residents in the most rural parts of Lincolnshire to understand the links between ageing and where they live. It’s not a service that will be supporting people who are socially isolated but a toolkit to help people self manage, risk assess and make decisions about potential social isolation.

As part of this project Sortifed are looking to work in partnership with organisations across Lincolnshire who may wish to use the toolkit they develop to help support the people who they work with, or who may wish to share the completed toolkit with others.

Sortifed are about to begin a period of engagement across the county in order to help build and develop the toolkit. They will then design and create the final toolkit before its formal launch and implementation later in 2015.
