A group of 15-17 year old young people from the National Citizen Service programme are looking to deliver a social action project in the North Hykeham, Sleaford and Branston areas of the county. The National Citizen Service is a four week summer programme which is heavily focused around community engagement and positive charitable impact. Up to 15 young people can be involved in a social action project, which could be redecorating premises, raising funds for a centre/churches, doing some gardening or putting on extra activities for the people who benefit from services in the aforementioned areas.
Project will need to take place on the following dates:
Either Monday 20th July – Friday 24th July or Monday 27th July – Friday 31st July
Also, the young people are often required to use a venue the week before the delivery of their social action project to plan the details of their project. Any interested group would need to confirm if the young people are able to use their venue the week before as well, dates as follows:
Either Monday 13th July – Friday 17th July or Monday 20th July – Friday 24th July
The group who deliver the social action project could consist of up to 15 young people (15-17 year olds) who will be supported by at least one adult mentor. The project that you provide for the young people must be enough to fulfil at least 30 hours of social action (Monday – Friday).
