The Really Useful Stuff (RUS) handbook is a user friendly guide to support voluntary and community groups in their development. It contains a wealth of information, guidance and examples to assist in everything from creating a constitution to applying for funding and has been well used by many groups. You can find PDFs of version two here:
Last updated in 2012, version two now needs a refresh to include amendments such as legal information, case study updates and improvements to its design. RUS is now being revised by Community Lincs with support from Voluntary Centre Services and Just Lincolnshire.
As an organisation that can use RUS as part of your regular contact with voluntary and community organisations we would like to invite to you attend a session to review this first re-drafting of the refreshed RUS. Your feedback will form a valuable contribution to the final redrafting. Upon completion of this work the updated RUS will be a valuable tool available to you for use with the groups and organisations you support.
Community Lincs have arranged the first re-drafting session as follows:
Venue: Cranwell Village Hall, Old School Lane , Cranwell Village, NG34 8DF
Date: Monday 13th July 2015
Time: 2.00pm to 4.30pm
