The Compact

The Compact is a partnership framework to promote positive working relationships between the voluntary, community and statutory sectors.

It does this through interpretation of the National Codes of Practice into locally relevant clear Codes of Practice that cover Volunteering, Community Groups, Consultation, Black and Minority Ethnic, and Funding and Procurement.

By signing up to the compact, organisations are making a commitment to work together more closely and to respect each other's rights and responsibilities, differences and duties. The compact offers an approach to partnership and a framework through which stronger relationships can be built.

The compact is a living document for building relationships that change how partners behave, engage and work together at an individual, organisational and partnership level.

The Lincolnshire Compact Website provides local Good Practice examples, a Forum and offers Downloads and Links to help your organisation.
