On Thursday 26th May over 130 representatives from Community and Voluntary Organisations across Greater Lincolnshire attend the second annual V:Expo event organised by a subgroup of Involving Lincs. The event, which was hosted by West Lindsey District Council at the Epic Centre, Lincolnshire Showground, had the task of highlighting good practice for volunteer managers and featured high profile key note speakers Karl Wilding, NCVO and Neil Cleeveley, NAVCA. Nicola Thurbon from the Big Lottery Fund also attended to give an overview of the charities’ new strategic framework.
Delegates had the opportunity to choose from 6 innovative workshop sessions during the day, and were treated to a lunchtime ‘Mad Science’ demonstration from Anglian Water, as well as a fly past from the Red Arrows.
Feedback received from the event was extremely positive and the committee would like to thank everyone who helped the day run without a hitch.
Excellent first experience of Expo!
Fantastic event – keep it going.
