The Dementia Support Fund has been established to help people with dementia, and people who care for them, to participate in a wide range of activities that will help them to maintain as good a quality of life as possible.
Organisations and groups that support and help people with dementia are being invited to pitch for a share of £195,000. Lincolnshire South West CCG, Lincolnshire West CCG and Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are working together to set up a Dementia Support Network to be trialled in different areas of the county. Learning from these pilots will be shared across the East and South Clinical Commissioning Group areas as the Network develops in future.
We are looking for Service User and Carer volunteer representatives to join the Selection Panel for the Dementia Support Network. This will involve discussing the applications that have been shortlisted and giving your views and opinions on which groups and organisations should receive a grant.
We are now open to receive your expressions of interest. Please let us know by no later than Friday 3rd April if you would like to be considered for this opportunity.
Service Users and Carers who express their interest for this opportunity will be contacted by the 14th April 2015 to confirm whether they have been selected to sit on the panel.
The selection panel will be held in Sleaford on Tuesday 28th April 2015. Travel expenses will be paid.
Please note: If you have or are planning on submitting an application for a grant from the Dementia Support Fund then unfortunately you would not be able to part of the selection panel.
