Getting started as a volunteer

Finding the right volunteering opportunity is easy. Contact your local Volunteer Centre to arrange an informal appointment* with a volunteer advisor. They will help you to identify suitable roles within your local community and get started with volunteering activities that you will find enjoyable and interesting.

Alternatively, visit  Do-It.org or enter your postcode in the box to the right. You’ll receive search results from your local area and you can express your interest online. One of our team will them get back in touch with you to find out more about your interests and help you to get started.

All new volunteers are invited to attend “Volunteer Card” training sessions: A free training programme to recognise and reward Lincolnshire volunteers. This short course will allow you to meet others in your local community and gain a better understanding of your role as a volunteer.

If you have any questions about volunteering, please do feel free to contact us.
