Every year, Volunteers’ Week plays a huge part in raising the profile of the millions of volunteers who regularly contribute to society whilst inspiring others to get involved too. The Volunteers’ Week celebrations are being extended this year and will be running from 1st-12th June, rather than the usual week, which gives us more time to celebrate! The end of Volunteers’ Week will also coincide with the Patron’s Lunch on 12 June, a celebration of Her Majesty the Queen’s lifetime of service to more than 600 charities and organisations to which The Queen acts as a Patron, on the occasion of her 90th birthday.
We would like to take this opportunity to invite you and a team of up to 5 members of your organisation (at least two must be regular volunteers) to put your knowledge to the test and take part in our celebration pub quiz. It is being held at The Solo Club, Marketplace, Sleaford on Wednesday 8th June 2016 and will start at 7pm with a 10pm finish. Prizes will be available to the winning organisations in first, second and third place. A jacket potato supper will also be available on the evening and a licensed bar.
To enter a team into our big celebration quiz, please download and complete the booking form below and return it to Steph at the Sleaford Office as soon as possible, along with a contribution of £5 per team member. This confirms your place and helps towards the costs of the event and the supper. There is limited capacity for teams so book early to avoid disappointment!
There will also be the opportunity to give recognition to your volunteers for the time that they give to your group or organisation, with VCS NK presenting thank you certificates on the evening. If you would like to nominate a volunteer who you think deserves to be recognised for their hard work and commitment, please contact Steph at VCS NK on 01529 308450 for further information.
