West Lindsey team welcomes new Youth Advocate

Voluntary Centre Services West Lindsey have this week welcomed new team member Lorraine Espin-Hempsall, who fills the role of Talent Match Youth Advocate for Gainsborough. The Talent Match programme is funded by the Big Lottery Fund and will run until the end of 2018. The focus of the project will be to get young people back into employment, education or training by providing them with one to one support and mentoring. Lorraine’s role will be to work with young people between the ages of 18 – 24 who have been unemployed  for at least 12 months.

Lorraine has worked for Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue for the last 7 years and has worked extensively with the young  people of Gainsborough in her previous role of Team Leader with the Princes Trust TEAM programme.

Speaking about the role Lorraine said “I’m really looking forward to getting started with this role and working with organisations and local employers to increase opportunities for our young people”.
