Voluntary Centre Services are encouraging people to give their time this Giving Tuesday on 29th November 2016.
So, how can you make a difference?
Voluntary Centre Services has hundreds of volunteering opportunities waiting to be filled, or if you don’t have a lot of time to volunteer there are many micro-volunteering opportunities that you can do in your PJ’s! Simply get in touch and we can match you with your ideal volunteering role.
Alternatively, you could start your own project to help others in your community. Voluntary Centre Services can help you with setting up a group, put you in touch with other voluntary/community groups or help you to find funding for your project.
Not wanting to miss out on the Giving Tuesday fun, the North Kesteven office have teamed up with staff at Community Lincs to support local mental health groups in the Sleaford area by donating festive items to fill a hamper. The hamper will then be raffled off to raise funds for the United Together groups and IMPACT, a collection of self help and support groups for people with mental health issues. Steph Boyfield from Voluntary Centre Services said “With the staff and volunteer teams within our building donating a variety of items, we have managed to create a festive hamper that will raise enough to help pay for a Christmas meal for the groups. It’s nice to be able to do a little something that will benefit others in our community.”
You really can make a difference. Get in touch today to find out more.
