The Pre-school Learning Alliance is a leading educational charity specialising in the Early Years. We provide practical support to over 15,000 Early Years settings and make a positive contribution to the care and education of over 800,000 young children and their families each year. We are seeking to fill the following vacancy within Lincolnshire.


This is an exciting opportunity to join an experienced team working across Lincolnshire Children’s Centres to deliver Best Start Lincolnshire. The successful candidate will work with parents of 0-19 year olds to plan tailored Skills Development support packages, and support parents as they progress towards positive outcomes such as learning, volunteering and employment. Officers also recruit, retain and support parent volunteers for the Alliance’s Children’s Centre volunteer programme and encourage them to play an active part in Children’s Centres and the community.  Producing verbal and written reports and collecting and monitoring data using various IT programs is essential for this role.

You will work both independently and as part of a multi-agency team following Lincolnshire County Council and Pre-school Learning Alliance policies and procedures.

Successful candidates will hold a relevant qualification to a minimum of Level 3 and have a passion for working towards improved outcomes for all families.

A comprehensive induction and support package will be provided to the successful applicants.

Hours:  20 hours per week (52 weeks a year)

Work Base:  based in Spalding, working in Boston and South Holland

Salary:  £17,690.40 – £19,000.80 per annum pro rata (full time equivalent 35 hours)

Mileage from an agreed base is paid at 35p per mile.

This is a Maternity cover position to start as soon as possible.
